We pack all of our countertops in wood crates for safe transit. This large countertop went to a private residence in Southern California, but we ship all across America.

Copper Island Countertop
We just shipped a copper countertop for an island today. This one featured a row of large copper rivets along the perimeter, heavy texture and the matte finish will have it aged in no time.
We were lucky to work with a great design team at Hub of the House and if you are in Southern California, consider working with them. Many times, we complete a project and get impressed with our own work – this was one of those times and I’m sorry to see it leave.

Have you considered this?
Copper countertops transfer heat very quickly and this fact can change the way you work in your kitchen.
On occasion, I may have a pan that is too hot for the food (I have a tendancy of burning things) – so, I move the pan to the countertop for a few seconds and it cools quickly.
Likewise, this thermal transfer on copper countertops can help defrost frozen food quickly as well. Take it out of the freezer, leave it on the countertop for 15 to 30 minutes and the food is quickly ready for the refrigerator or even cooking.
This is a great way to use a countertop as a tool. Can your granite or concrete countertops do this?

At the client’s request, these countertops do not have a finish but within a week of use in this new wine tasting room they will have a nice brown patina.

Copper Countertops in the news
Copper countertops appear in all sorts of homes and businesses. While the atmosphere created by using a natural, ever-changing material such as copper may not be newsworthy, we are always happy when our clients get any press.
Recently, the San Francisco Chronicle wrote a restaurant review for Sasa in Walnut Creek, CA. Luckily, Sasa not only has great food, but also a fantastic copper bar top.
